Jerry Williams earned his BFA from VCU in Directing, giving him unique insight into theatre. While in college, he directed several shows at the Barn Dinner Theatre and the Jewish Community Center but he’s since made his career producing and directing training, information and government videos (with some live “industrial” shows).

Jerry reviewed cinema/theatre as “The Man in the Dark” for CBS-6 for 15 years and wrote short film reviews for Style Weekly for 10 years.

During his video career, he stayed involved in the local theatre scene, often casting local theatre actors in his productions. He returned to direct one play, “Regrets Only” at RTP. Shortly after that, he started SIFTER (TVJerry.com), where he’s covered theatre with reviews and video previews since 2013.

Most recently, Jerry produced SPIDER MITES OF JESUS: THE DIRTWOMAN DOCUMENTARY that toured six film festivals around the country, before having its first commercial run at Movieland on Boulevard Square.
