As many people in the local theater community already know, Jennie Meharg (3-time RTCC award nominee and recipient for “The Late Henry Moss”) and Vinnie Gonzalez (“The Last Days of Judas Iscariot”) recently lost their infant daughter, Isabella, due to complications during pregnancy. Sarah and Jeff Cole have started an effort to have a memorial stone placed at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in honor of Isabella.
Some mechanism for collecting donations will be in place at the calendar sales table at the RTCC Awards event this Sunday. If funds in excess of the amount needed to have the stone placed are collected, the balance will go to the March of Dimes, a leading organization researching the prevention of premature birth.
